Overview

AHERF is the largest SMO in India running approximately 150 trials at any given point in time. We have assisted the healthcare industry to conduct simple and complex phase 2, 3, 4 Clinical trials across several sites in India.

Objectives

To create a world respected entity for avenues in Clinical Research, covering activities from drug discovery, development, therapy and marketing to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industry
Ensure ethical conduct of clinical trials at the Apollo Hospital study sites as per ICH_GCP guidelines and ICMR guidelines of India.

Trial Experience

AHERF, the first and the largest Site Management Organization (SMO) of Apollo Hospitals Group (AHG), was initiated in 2000 with head quarters at Chennai. Mandated with one site office to begin with, AHERF has eight established site offices in various Apollo Hospitals Centers in the country coordinating and facilitating the ethical conduct of clinical trial activities of the hospital group, providing a ONE STOP WINDOW SERVICE to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. AHERF has the experience in completing the conduct of over 300 global, multi-centric clinical trials across the group, 50% of which goes for US FDA or European Union Registration. AHERF has an Institutional Ethics Committee in each of the Apollo Hospital Centers and a Central Ethics Committee to provide a single window clearance for trials at multiple Apollo sites. Over 200 clinical trials per year run concurrently at the various centers - Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata.
