 Overview:
“No system of medicine has the capacity to solve all the society’s health needs”. Each system of medicine has its strengths and limitations. We at AHERF are taking the pioneering steps to synergize the strengths of different health systems to deliver more effective integrative health care solutions to the patient.
AHERF aims to develop an evidence base for integrating modern medicine with established health practices from various health traditions. As a first step in this direction, AHERF plans to partner with leading Ayurvedic organizations to set up Integrative Medicine centers. These centers shall become the hub for developing integrative approaches.
Objectives:
- To establish Integrative Medicine Centers in major Apollo hospitals.
- To develop comprehensive preventive, curative and rehabilitative treatment programs by combining in a synergistic manner the best practices from the prevalent Health Systems.
- To develop management protocols, systems and processes for Integrative Medicine.
Current Projects:
- Project Planning to set up Integrative Medicine centers.
- Approach Paper on Integrative Medicine, preparing a roadmap for developing Integrative Medicine in the country.
- Background paper to identify the therapeutic gaps in modern medicine, and exploring the role of Ayurveda in these areas.
